This is one of the first pieces I did once I obtained Procreate as a gift to a friend. I made the mistake of mentioning that I could draw, and that started this spiral into rediscovering my talent.
I was unsure as to the style I wanted this piece to emulate, so I focused more on just making the digital drawing look like the image I was trying to replicate.
Below is the process I undertook to create it.
Pencils.

Inks.

Colour.
Here you can see that the style I opted for was more of a digital painting than an illustrative style, which would be more expressive and risk-taking. Since this was a gift, I was naturally more risk-averse and wanted to make it look as similar as possible.

If I were to return to this piece, I would push to take greater risks with colour and add more depth with darker shadows and brighter highlights - playing with the saturation as well to make the image less flat.
Whilst the detail is suitable, I would spend more time on the finer details and a more engaging background.
